yeah.
i'm pretty sure that you get paid a 'training rate' for the first few weeks. then your pay goes up to match your award/age.

Apparently all Maccas pay differently
I know a chick whose 19 working at a causal rate and got paid 11.20 - only becuase the maccas she worked at didnt make as much as the others. Ha!

^ woahs thats completely shit house pay. I always thought maccas payed stadard rates but i guess i was wrong. I would seriously fuck off and quit my job if i were 19 and getting 11 bucks an hour.

Well, it depends on where you work at. I used to work in Maccas at a food court in Westfields and got paid $9+ when I was 16, and from what I'm hearing they are paying $15 for 18 year olds.

Better than the Subway I'm working at which pays ~$11.50. Although I do get a tranineeship with it - no use to me though.

Apparently is you work under 3 hours e.g 2.5hours your boss will need to pay you for 4 hours.

At my ex-Maccas Job, there was the girls who did the parties for a 2hour shift...

Like Maccas cant afford to put people onto three hours.....Those damn rich store owners are fuckers...more money for their mansions and bmw's..

yeh 3 hours is the minimum. My restaurant was evil and made me work 5 hours and 50 mins per shift. They didn't make it 6 becus otherwise they had to give me a break. Very sneaky managers ;(

thats interesting, at my maccas the managers are all tightasses, they will do anything to send you on a break. and its a break every 5hrs, not 6hrs.
