yeah the biggest problem with the axis is that they weren't really working together they were all pursuing different agendas

mussolini wanted a mediterranean empire

hitler wanted territory in the east

if they had more properly collaborated they would have been much more effective

some people have said that a joint attack on the ussr by japan and germany would have been disasterous for the soviets but i doubt it im sure the imperial army would have been massacred by the red army like at khalkhin-gol in '39 and it wouldnt have made that much of a difference to the german invasion but who knows
