Nothing was going right - I was slowly sinking into a kind of wretchedness that frightens all that possess but an inch of contentment...

I long to ask what she thinks about, but at the same time I consider the expression on her face and though it is selfish of me, something deep inside hesitates and I don’t want to share her pain.
