Yeah I barely get any, if anything it's "Please check the price for me". You can't have that lookup feature without bagging area restrictions because it would just encourage people to "accidentally" think they WERE scanning it properly but just using the lookup feature.

Is it really that many? I don't get much of that. Or they ask me about the price, then i go to the POS to do it.

I get quite a few. I lose count of the amount of times I see someone scan something, look at the screen, then turn and walk back into the store.

Can anyone tell me... what is the point of having an option for the normal checkout screen on the self checkouts? Sense... no... make.

Also, weird thing: one of our normal checkouts, I THINK has somehow loaded an old version of the StoreLine software onto it, because it still prints out the old Spot Check declaration on a receipt when we finish counting, and automatically prints receipts for under $30. Apart from that, it doesn't seem to be any different though.

Oh hai there
Hai. Hows life?

So we can put transactions through faster when we are putting people through self serve, reprint receipts, void transactions, price checks, look for fruit and veg that aren't in the SCO Lookout,Dump items that won't scan, product search items and probably more...The POS is really needed!

Fair enough, I thought they would have just integrated that into a staff menu or something like that..

They tried that with the original software. But this works a lot better as everyone knows how to do stuff. You should see the sigh of relief new attendants that I train up have when they see the POS. Its something familiar to them.

I just applied for a replenishment position at the Strathfield Woolworths. 21 with no work experience.

How soon do they usually call you after you apply online? I went out to chuck the rubbish and came back to find someone called but didn't leave a message. Wondering if it's them lol.

I actually love this update, really glad they got their shit together, even with the transition to the new software, I've hardly had anyone ask a question about how to do something, it's awesome!
can anyone find training mode?
the paperwork we got says it should still be in POS mode but I can't find it anywhere...

All the SCO software does is hit the buttons for the underlying point of sale software and manage cash. you could load the SCO software on a normal register and it would work fine for EFTPOS only transactions

This year it's do much more complicated. Supposed to give te customer 1 sticker for every 10 dollars they spend, and then they stick them on a page, when they fill up the page, they give it to their school. What was wrong with just keepin the dockets? So much easier...

Also, I think the mobile I.D check should accommodate for overseas post codes if it allows us to select a different country. I took downs British woman's UK address because she didn't have any ID with her Australian address, and tried to enter it into the system, and it accepted all but their weird funky post code. Considering I sold it to her already, I just put in the local post code, for my town which worked with all her UK street address. So if she turns out to be some enthusiastic jihadist, MI5 should still know where to go (I think).

I still don't understand why the same menu/functionality isn't available from the computer workstation. we should have a simple link to click on to load mobile customers and also register everyday rewards cards

Citrix Web (log on with store number as username, and store name in lowercase as the password)
Everyday app (log on with employee number and your password)

Is that what you're looking for?
