Hey guys so I RLYY like eco, but I don't think a single Eco degree will easily get me a job as compared to if I go into software engineering/comp sci/ data science. Especially because I have absolutely no connections in the business/eco/finance field whereas my parents both do techy jobs. I'm doing software as part of my HSC rn and I'm decent enough at coding (ranked 3 for SDD in Y11) but tbh I'm always kinda bored in my SDD lessons, and I still have a passion for economics (ranked 2nd rn).
I'm thinking Comp Sci/ Eco degree at UNSW would be perfect for me. There's however a lot of other options I could get into, so it's quite confusing to choose. Is anyone doing this specific double degree and can offer some insight and tell me what it's like? What do you love/hate ab it?
Right now I'm looking at
1. comp sci/ eco at UNSW
2. economics & advanced studies at USYD (major in data science)
3. economics & adv math (major in data analytics & statistics) at UNSW
or just suck it up and do a single comp sci/ software eng degree
someone help me be less confused haha
