Time spent on English questions during an exam! (1 Viewer)

Hi guys I'm currently in year 11 and having my English exam next week. It's my very first big exam since I just came to Sydney 7 months ago. I'm wondering that how much time I should spend on each question of exam paper. My yearly exam will be formatted at a HSC paper and therefore there will be 2 papers. If paper 1 has 3 sections and 40 mins for each, how can I spend time on small questions? How much time I should spend on 1 mark, 2 mark or 6 mark questions, etc. Anyone can advise me please? Thank you!

About 2 minutes per mark. Larger questions can take up extra time, and most of the time 1 or 2 markers can take less.

Not something to blindly follow as it will depend on your ability to answer questions.

Usually try to do the short answers in 40 mins, creative in 30 and essay in 50 or just 40-40-40.
