X1 - External study; Offered in the first half-year (On Campus session: No session)

D is for during the day, E for during the evening - I think that means a lecture at 6 or after, and 1/2 is when the subject is offered, semester one or two.

X is external study - which I think is correspondence as already mentioned, and 1/2 are the same.

1 - offered in semester 1
2 - offered in semester 2
3 (?) - means it's a full year subject

so the subject is offered - during the day and also externally (correspondance, tapes) during the first semester. i don't know what composite mode is.
