I would like some tips or any advice when applying to overseas uni's.

Usually you’ll have to apply through an agent or something. However I know that the UK unis are easier to apply to than the US unis so I wouldn’t be surprised if you could do it by yourself.

ATAR is fine for UK unis (98.5+ for oxbridge otherwise they won’t even look at you) but for the US you’d need to sit the SAT or ACT.

Of course it’s possible! Lots of examples of people getting high 99s in low ranked schools on BoS... you just gotta put in the work etc

The UK uni application process is relatively straightforward; you apply through UCAS (though you can only apply to a maximum of 5 universities) and you'll have to submit a personal statement. You may also have to sit subject-specific admissions tests such as Oxford's MAT (maths), Cambridge's STEP (maths), the LNAT (law) etc. You'll also have to pass an interview to get into Oxford or Cambridge.

first you need 70k per annum in money if you want to go to oxbridge. and no, you're not going to get financial aid/scholarship. other than that, the hard part about oxbridge from au is not much. they have relatively lenient requirements for au students and it's probably a bit easier than getting into med in sydney lmao.
for the US, unless you have actual "achievements", considering it in y11 is too late, except for 'lower' tier schools.

Remember that for UK unis you’re an international student and are treated like one in terms of fees ($$$$$) and the lowered entry requirements.

US is a different story since everyone pays (or gets a loan) for $$$$$$

us has pog financial aid at the top schools. u barely pay anything if u dont have the means to.

Yh the Ivies are known for being quite affordable with aid since they have huge endowments.

But yh in the US, pretty sure you're treated as just an applicant, rather than an "international student" aka cash cow (hence the lowered requirements) like the Australian and UK unis do.

pretty sure they have quotas for international students and should be slightly different, but ye not really a "cash cow" for top tier.

Cambridge and Oxford you will also need to sit their entrance exam.

You will be an international student and will need to be able to pay the enormous fees well in advanced. Are you guardians able to help you pay for it? Not only tuition but accommodation, flights are costs you will need to be aware of.

Pretty much no scholarships are available for Australian international students in the UK for Oxbridge.

What degrees are you considering?

Probably worth doing the SATs, if you have strong SATs you can use them to boost your application.

Any extracurricular that shows an interest in your chosen degree will be useful to include in your personal statement that you will have to write.

I dont think it is how long u should study, but it's rather how you structure it, like you could studying 10 hours a day for the week, but you could study like 1-2 hours every day for a week, so then u wont get burnt out.

my advice - do well at an Aus uni and save your cash - do a post grad course overseas i.e. MBA.
