Depends on the uni, looks pre reqs up on relevant sites.

Not all unis.

Adelaide has no prerequisites. Monash, OTOH asks for Chemistry. I'm not sure, but I think Melbourne does too.

This ultra smart guy from our school (he knows who he is ) did only maths (4u), english (4u) and history (3u) and got into Medicine at UNSW. That's right-- no sciences at all!

Really? I had no idea! So he did like some sciences in yr 11 and then changed his subjects in year 12 or something? Sounds a bit odd but then again does it really matter in the long run? Meh, congrats to him anyway.

I guess maths is sort of science-y when you think about it... but I never really think of maths as being a science...

I think Newcastle only has a prereq of English, but doing Chem certainly wouldn't hurt your uni studies.

you don't need chem at UNSW. Quite a few people in 1st year haven't done it and aren't struggling at all.
