you must be specific about the engineering field. there are tremendous no. of engineering fields, what would you select? try to prioritize ur list and then search for the universities.... if i tell you in respect of my field, chemical engineering... then standford college of engineering is at the top most in overall ranking

Wollongong is really good for engineering. From what i gathered, its better here than syd but not unsw.
But regardless undergrad study is practically the same wherever you go, choose a good uni that is close to you and you actually like.

I reckon UNSW, UTS, USYD

but really it depends on you! I know people graduated from UWS who are better engineers then people graduated from UNSW...it's really on you!
