My top speed was 140 in a Ford Fairlane on the way to Lockhart from Wagga, on my Ls too. And no, I'm not proud of it.

i try not to speed, because its not safe n yeah i dont have comprehensive insurance...
so generally im a pretty sane driver, dont really go more than 5kms over the limit


EXCEPT for when im running late for work, then i go a bit crazy
not as bad as half the people in this thread though
ive hit 110 in an 80 zone while running late but usually i do about 90-100 on that road (when running late)
and in the streets near my house its a 40-50 zone... when running late i tend to do about 70 here lol

my top speed ever was like 130 in an 80 zone, late at night when there were no other cars around
i had friends in the car, they dared me to... i was young and stupid

LOL..... although the M5 is very very very easy to speed without realising it (e.g. trying to get into the left lane to get to an exit, you accelerate to fill a gap but the car in front is an L and there is still plenty of room ahead in both lanes so you may as well clear it, then there's a truck, etc...)

I'm not defending it- just rationalising it.
