When its @ 90 degrees isnt it @ its strongest when its parallel to the magnetic field there no torque isnt it?red802 said:Explaiin why there is no torque on the coil when it is 90 degrees. but can soeone explain because i understand the method BIAcos90 = minimum torque, but why does it have no torque
realise that when theta = 90 degrees, both sides of the coil are forced AWAY from each other. in this sense, the resultant net force is 0, and so, there is no torque, following the basic principle torque = Fd. F = 0, so torque = 0.Mono! said:When its @ 90 degrees isnt it @ its strongest when its parallel to the magnetic field there no torque isnt it?
