anyone got any advice for me? im downloading at 1-2kB/sec yet uploading 10kB/sec, got any ideas on getting the downloads up?

stupid bittorent, theres always 6 or 7 seeders and i keep getting snubbed

@felix: maybe you already have the required segments, and are uploading to those on lower percentages.

I don't even use BT, so I'm just guessing it's a priority system. :)

i worked out what to do :)
had to forward the ports in my router so im getting max speeds now

That's usually a good idea. :)

I think it uses ports 6881-6889 from memory, I may have said this in another thread (as I recall having typed something about BT a while back). This just goes back to Winston's request, when asking for help -- providing necessary details (such as network setup, configuration, OS, etc). I didn't think you were having problems with speed, (your first post indicated that you were uploading more than you were downloading, but you did not make mention of any 'significant' speed reductions, over an extended period of time).

It's good to hear that you're now geting full speeds though. Glad it worked out for you, all the best. :)

i just found out about the nsw PIPE network, downloaded 4 gigs of movies quota free, iinet rocks :D :D
