the new toshiba 20gb hdd mp3 player is released in japan and usa... and will be later released in australia at the end of the year!

MauHUAhauh, its a bit bigger and more 'square' than the ipod, but its more slick and thinner and takes up less cm3

should be good.

i was gonna get the iriver 10gig, but *cough*, just gonna wait for the toshiba

hey can someone explain to me this- what is ipod, itunes and stuff...i never quite understand (i'm thinking that they're mp3 players)...but yea, me just stick to my walkman.

iPod is the actual playing device, it's a physical item, iTunes, is basically a computer software music player... it's basically a napster i could say, because in it you can connect to a server and purchase music for 99cents,, but it's not in AUS yet. so yeah that's it

Yes it does.
In fact Ogg Vorbis files by default are VBR. They work on levels.
Level 6 = ~192kbps. (160kbps - 220kbps)
depending on the music etc.
But yes it also support MP3 VBR.
