Hey guys, oh man thanks alot for all your help :D:D

but ur right those from NSW were mean and very demeaning about how its impossible blah blah

you see, earlier this year, i set my heart on Macquari...but what im sick of is this "image" bs about each uni, that ohh Law is best at NSW and SYD...and thats what has kept me swinging back and bloody forth!!

so at macquari its only based internally to transfer into law???

i spoke to this woman and said something about applying by quota, meeting prerequisites, and then later qualitfying for combined law :S:S:S:S:S:S

can someone explain this please?

The majority of transfers at Macq are internally done. You'll need to study 1 year (at least 18 cp.. where 24 cp is the recommended full-time program per year) and achieve a certain GPA or above (this is prolly the quota thing, so higher the better your chances are). Then in your 2nd year, you do the 2 first year Law units LAW113 and LAW103. If you pass them both then you can transfer into Law in your 3rd year (you'd be starting 2nd year Law units then). Note also that you'd get credit for your other double degree, so you wouldn't be wasting time do other units in 1st year.

Dont bother with the "prestige" with the associated uni. It might have made a difference a while ago, but now there are more and more examples which suggest otherwise and so just go to the uni you want to go to and enjoy :)

Are you serious ?
you only need to pass 113 and 103 to be enrol into law ?
i thought what asy' and i were talking about, you need to do them to meet the pre-req's, but may miss out due to a quota - or whoever has higher gpa.

Oh, rofl, the quota is selected BEFORE you do it :)

from what i gather, you apply, they select a quota, then you do those two subjects and pass them then get into law :)

Griz: The quota bit does come before the pass 113 and 103.

I think, you apply to do 113 and 103. The Law Dept choses to let you in or not.

Then after you pass 113 and 103, you transfer into Law.

That's how I understand it.

Yeah thats how i understood it as well.

The law 103/113 are the prelim subjects AFTER you get through the quota

You gotta apply around now i think by picking up a application at the law division offices and then submitting that.

Then they inform you if you're eligible.
