Have anyone here attempted UMAT in their first year of University and transferred into undergraduate medicine course the following year in UNSW or Newcastle?
I guess in strict sense this is not transfer, but bailing out and starting a new course...and they are hard to do, studying for UMAT and stuff while you are at university. Still, anyone know of such audacious challenge?

Thanks for responding. I heard that it is near impossible due to uni workload & they don't look at it so kindly either. But if it is achievable...

you just transfer normally, doing the UMAT
unless u've completed the B commerce in the comm\law and den u get something den u do the GAMSAT and can try for postgrad. med

Good luck transferring from com/law to mbbs ROFL. You need close to straight HD's. Why bother trying to transfer for 3 years when u can do a grad course. That's 9 years for your friend -_-

I was accepted after 2 years of architecture to Newcastle, but decided in the end medicine wasn't for me and rejected the offer. I had a HD average and a pretty good UMAT score but, like everyone else, it all came down to how you handle yourself in the interview.

Piss off, and take the point properly.

No uni will give a late round offer with less than their minimum uai requirement. I'm not discounting his achievement. 5.xx is a good gpa.
