Just wondering does anyone know the process of transferring from B of Vision Science to B of Vision Science/Clinical Optometry internally in UNSW? Is it hard and what do you need?
Thanks

Hi I don't think it is possible to internally transfer into B of vision science/clinical optometry however you don't need to. You can just complete your three years of B of vision science then do your masters in clinical optometry and this will have the same effect. Having the double degree doesn't exactly ensure that you will do your masters in clinical optometry, in either situation you have to maintain at least a credit average to get in.

Look here:

no internal transfer (the last one)

Guide of progression for vision science and clinical optometry (note: this is from 2016 however I am sure it still applies)

Entry into masters of clinical optometry (check the admissions requirements section)

Hope that helps

I've had friends who transferred from VS to Optom. It was quite a while ago, but from what I can remember, they said it wasn't too hard.
