DONT GET DEPRESSED!!! Some teachers mark the trials easy to get spirits up and others mark hard to make us want to try harder. Congrats to all of you who did really well, but to everyone else --- DONT STRESS too much!

I went well myself, first in the year in ADV. MATH!!! FINALLY!!!

Don't let it get to you, there are obviously -always- better people out there. The whole point is yourself, it doesn't matter what your friend gets, its about you. Just put in the effort for the last year of school and be happy that you tried and achieved a goal.

would you rather have not tried and failed? Because you wouldn't know how well you really could of done

At least you know you put some effort into it.

Yes, i would rather not try and fail, at least i know the reson for failure isnt stupidity, but laziness.

It just shits me that some people have to work their ass off to get good marks - to acheive something and other people dont even try and do well.

Where is the fairness in that? God must have been sleeping when he made the people, everything else in the world is at an equilibrium.

Mines weird. I failed all my subjects in year 11 and early year 12.

How i managed to pull myself was finding out how the HSC/UAI works. (Thanks to this site) and MinAi, Laz etc.. :)

Because when i screwed my first assessment i thought "wow im screwed". Then when i realised mark isn't important but ranking is, i knew i still had hope. Thats when i pulled my act and now achieving top marks.

For your case i presume your marks are pretty poor after completing many assessments already. Can you give me an indication of your current marks/ranks/school and lets see whether you really are doing that bad. also what UAI are you aiming for and what course.

The overwheming majority at my school didn't pass 2u maths.... also at my school the average for business studies was about 55%.... seriously, if you work hard from now until the HSC you will be fine. The teachers at school were telling people that you can improve about 10 or 20 marks even on your trial results, perhaps even more if you work until the HSC. Don't give up hope. If you want to improve, there is only one way, work hard and it WILL pay off!!!

For example, I failed chemistry in year 11 and came close to the bottom, but for yr 12 I tried really really hard, and came 1st!!! Things can change, so try your hardest and things will turn around!
