Trig sin+sin (1 Viewer)

hi ppl,

i went to the sydney uni lectures and the guy said to me that u need to know these trig identities
sin+sin= 2 cos(1/2 sum)sin(1/2 difference)
and the other 3 identiies

but my teacher said that this was 4 unit

is it in the syllabus

so far i haven't come across ne question that needed me to know these formulas

It's all easily derivable from what you have. Generally if a question needs that kind of an identity they'll lead you along the way to derive it in an earlier part.

It can be easily derived, but it's not in the 3u syllabus, and they'll ask you to prove them before any question using them in a 3u exam.

lol.. no that used to be in the sylubus... u dont need it in 3u, it is used in 4u conics, but it is not in the sylubus... so if u dont no it wont effect u
