Hey All,

I was just wandering if different units can have the same dates + times for lectures and tutorials? Im asking this (which may sound stupid) because I want to know before it comes time to choose Tutorials so I dont choose any convenient time and end up seeing that Im locked in at particular dates + times for a couple of units which would obviously be a problem :)

Thnx

The timtable can be found at http://platformweb.uws.edu.au/pweb_tt/start.asp?yr=2005

all you need to know is eithier ur subject name or the unit number.

Schoolines 2004- why don't you go into one of the capus libraries and use their computers or even the computer labs??
It would be alot longer than travelling down the road to Miranda where Im sure a internet cafe is :)

Its true that most people can get their classes into 2 or 3 days (not everyone though). But don't get fooled by all the free time. Most of that time will be taken up by work obviously but also doing assignments, readimg, researching, preparing for exams etc.

A lecturer once told me that students underestimate how long it will take them to do an assignment. She said to work out how long something will take, double or tripple the time you orginally thought it would take. So all those free days will come in handy............... trust me!!!

Yep michellanne!
My tutor/lecturer [same person] who taught Mgmt and DEcision making told us wiht our big assignment to start ealry becuae many people did underestimate it. He compared past experiences with a Graph. I hope you guys still remmber the 'exponential' graph where initially is starts low and curves up in an arc to the extreme.
My group was quite slow even though we started very early...they made out that i was procrastinating [damn 2nd years] but when it was in the final week, most of them didnt start anything yeet either. On the day we were rushing to publlish the thing and hand it in, while the other groups where like teasing us ans mucking us up for fun.
Weeks later the result came back, in our tute, there was only one group who got a C, everyone else got a P and guess who got the C??? We were like laughing and jeering them back, and one my team made the exponential graph like a right angle , we didnt start work until laat minute.

is it just me or will i have alot of free time on my hands... 1 lecture + 1 tutorial for each unit? that's it?
I was like that last year. I generally only had a lecture for each subject. No tutorials. I thought that I was going to be laughing, until I discovered how long it takes me to travel and as well as that it does take time to do assignments, except maybe some introductory subjects, which i tended to leave until a couple of days before it was due. like your lecturers, I had a lecturer who suggested that we should start right away. I collected the info on guidelines that afternoon, and when we got our results, it really paid off. Everyone was getting Ps and i got a C+ ... yippee!!
