Different subjects have different number of required contracted hours.

Hey all!
I was just wondering, what is the average number of ppl in tutes? or is there a maximum amount of ppl allowed in one tute?

Depends on how big your subject is. Usually they will say a certain number at tut rego, but people tend to switch during the first week.

I have been told by lecturers that some subjects this year will see a change in the number of tuts avaliable and also the number of people allowed in a tut. For example, in some health science units half the number of tutorials are avaliable while the allowed numbers for each tut has increased.

This is also happening with law subjects as well.

Theres a note at the top of some of my tutorial times saying a minimum of 15 is needed to run the tutorial.

I fitted my timetable into 3 days. Figured spend the other two days doing assignments, etc and the nights working... fun

Yeah, my work is pretty good, they said they would work around my uni timetable. They are even giving me some time in the first few weeks to get sorted and stuff before i let them know my exact times.
I dont know how ppl get through uni without a part time job, its going to cost me a fortune!!

I'm glad i fit mine into 3 days, gives me time to get things done at home as well

Yeah thats how i got through school, $350 YA payments (didnt live at home).
Did you survive alright without a part time job?? I was thinking that it might get too much for me working and studying - take into mind that i've been doing 45 hr weeks during the break - sick of work

wow ... you guys your work is so nice to do that. I don't think that I can work during uni considering I only have the weekends off ... but I was asked to work in a travel agency at richmond - where uni is, I think i might take it up as well. Hopefully they can work around my timetable.

How far you willing to travel natstar?

Yup thats what my works doing. Youch Natster that is tight, you would have only just scraped through, but the thing is, it comes down to time to yourself or time to work... I can see it getting too much for me to handle

The hospitality industry is your best bet Natster - night work and flexible shifts
