Tutorial is a tutorial ... seminar can be a mini lecture with some more interaction perhaps.

A Seminar in the Arts and Education faculties is usually 2 hours long. There's more people in the class than a standard tute. There should be around 10-15 in a tute...but often 20 + in a seminar. They mini lecture type, but there is time to talk one on one with the tutor.

I'm not sure if it's the same in other faculties

I think'd be a good fight, but in the end I think a tutorial would use it's speed to outmanoeuvre a seminar, and eventually win.

Courses with seminars often do not have lectures, e.g. law and honours history.

It's true about seminars and sex, too, by the way.
