UAC --> Similar to QTAC in the way tertiary results are assessed? (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys

Im new here, but i cant seem to find info on this site on whether UAC calculates ranks similar to how QTAC does it. UAC have been attrocious in their services!:mad1: No one in UAC seems to know how its done, however QTAC was nice enough to assist me, saying that everyone in queensland gets a rank (0-99).

Im asking this as this must be the way by which universities select people and put grads and udnergrads on the same boat, or else its hard to compare GPAS and UAIs.

For students who have a tertiary record most uni's tend to look solely at GPA, whilst some others such as UNSW and Usyd for some courses look at both UAI and GPA and divide them by two to get a result. For more info and an 8 pg doc on this see here gpa to uai conversion - Med Students Online

Ive just contacted QTAC, and everyones GPA gets converted to a rank, and higher research qualifications get assessed differently, for anyone else in the future thinking about how QTAC assesses tertiary qualifications. And this would be the same for UAC.

Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre. Why have u copied my signature block, without changing it (MBBS I)? Your also not a med student I presume.
