Yeah you'd have a good chance of 90 or even 95+.
ty so much, This is the kind of news I needed to hear after people telling me that my school would bring me down.

Bring me down as in the people who should have dropped out and didnt would get really bad marks and bring down the rest of us with them.

I just can't wait till the HSC is over lol

you have excellent ranks there, so i wouldnt worry about too much just yet
getting a high UAI depends on your cohort i guess, but seeing youre topping 3 out of 5 subjects so far, it means your well on your way on getting the 98+ you want
all you have to do now is stay consistent and make sure you ace the exams :)
Thanks. It's nice getting that kind of consolidation.

You can give us your current results/ranks/school rank then someone will estimate a uai. Ask your teacher at your school, whoever will do it for you. Or try and predict HSC marks you will get and plug it into SAM

yes, its possible, although you would wanna bump your rank up a bit for english and maths, but other than that, you seem pretty sweet to get your desired UAI
good luck

Here are my overall marks and ranks so far:

*English - 61% Rank dunno like top ten out of 40-50 students
*Gen Maths - 79% (At least top 15 out of about 60-70 students)
*Business Studies - 79% (4/56)
*IPT - 87% (1/9)
*SDD - 71% (3/11)

Are my chances of getting a UAI of 80 good or bad?

theyre all pretty low scaling subjects, so youll have to do reasonably well if you want to be in the top 20% of the state.
i guess the ranks aernt too bad, but seeing the trials are the crunch time, you still have time to pull those ranks up (english and gen maths)
if you do that, then youll get over 80+ pretty comfortably

hahaha i think youll have an idea as to whether youre a chance of getting 95+
if your ranks stay that way, then its fair to say that whether you get 95+, its in your hands

man you seem to know your stuff, and those ranks justify that
you keep that up and youll comfortably get over 90s

youre killing it buddy...4 subjects with the top rank, with religion unlikely to be counted thus far
you keep that up, then surely youll get over 90+...but then again those subjects aernt very good scaling subjects, so you must do just a tad better if you want a good UAI
but keep up the good work

what im trying to say, is that if you maintain your first ranking, then itll all be up to you to get a very good mark (high band 6), depending on how you go in your externals.
if youre first, then you get the highest exam mark for that subject as your moderated assessment mark
youre already a good chance anyway, so i wouldnt worry about it too much

selective is always a good start, as that makes it more competitive and brings out the best in people.
so youre doing 10 units, and cant afford any stuff ups. if you want 99+, youll definitely need to work on your english, but other than that, maths, chem and bio you seem to be doing extremely well in.
youll definitely get over 95 though with the way things are going, but boost your english ranks up and im sure youll get there :)

I'll jump in here. Based on half-yearlies (went a bit better in assessments before that but nvm). Not sure about class sizes for the bigger ones, these are pretty close.

English Adv - 1/26 - 80% :):)( but I intend to pull this up - first 2 assessments were closer to 100 than 80. I can returnnnn to gloryyyy!)
English 3u - 3/6 - 85%
English 4u - 1/3 - 95% (for the proposal... sooo doesn't count haha)
Modern History - 1/19 - 96%
Society + Culture - 1/7 - 90%
IPT - 2/40 - 91%

Cruddy school :D but I still loves it
