Final post trials assessment marks:

English Advanced = 95/100. Rank ~5/165 (+/- 2)

English Extension = 42/50. Rank ~15/73

Mathematics = 78/100. Rank ~20/93

Software Design and Development = 83/100. Rank 4/9

Modern History = 94/100. Rank 2/38

History Extension = 47/50. Rank 3/17

Ancient History = 92/100. Rank ~4/50


The ranks with ~ are approximates. For Modern and Ancient I have one more assessment remaining, but I will get either full marks or close for them, so the mark I have listed is assuming 19/20 and 14/15 for those respectively.

For SDD, English Ext and Maths i'm sure I can imrpove my mark in the HSC as I did almost no study for my trials for those.

My major concern is that I won't get 98. I want to get into BA Media/Comm @ Sydney Uni.

Also which subject would you think will not get counted? My guess is Maths, but since SDD scales badly i'm not so sure.

And finally, my school is Fort Street High School, selective, and top 15 (just, I think).

I really have no idea. I was under the impression that to get 98+ you need 8+ units in band 6, at the moment 3 of my subjects (eng ext, maths, sdd) aren't in the top band. And I really have NO idea how these things scale, i.e if 42/50 for ext eng gets scaled to Band E4?

If your marks somewhat reflect your HSC exam performance, you'd definitely stand a very good chance of getting 98+
