ok, these are my trial results so far...my ranks are estimates from my results / half yearly reports

they're bad marks, but here goes..

bus studies 74% rank 14/35
gen. maths 79% rank 1/20
adv eng 50% rank 75 / 95
physics 54% rank 58 / 70
ipt 62% rank 10/20
eco 51% rank 25/40

(stufed up my eco trials and got a mark way lower than my half yearlys (75%)..)

for the final hsc exam i should be able to get mid-high band 5 for maths, low band 5 for biz and eco,

if that happens will i be able to get an uai in the 80s?

plus i go to a school ranked around 45-ish in the state

Im going 75-80...

u have to consider his/her school is in the top 50...

you just have to see what the statistics are like for your school (for instance to get Band 6, students normally ranked 40 and below achieve etc)

Mid 70's

Your english mark needs a good boost. Even though your school is ranked high, it doesn't mean low marks will get you a high UAI.

if i really do really well in the hsc exam..lets say low-mid band 5's for all my subjects, what are the odds for gettin an UAI of low-to mid 80s? impossible or likely?

Hey, as far as uni preferences go, pick what you wanna do!!!
They'll always go down to the next one if you miss out.
Pick what u want. Don't let the cutoff change your mind, if you wanna go for something, go for it.
You'll be fine. I think you're looking for something in the 70's myself. You do good subjects. Tho I dont think gen. maths will count personally.
Whats the schools ranking have to do with it?
