UAI's for modern (1 Viewer)

Hey,
Do any of you guys know how well modern scales for UAI? I'm clueles, i just wanna know

its been +2 last 2 years and +2.2 year before that

It doesn't scale that well in comparison to other subjects because I got my fourth best mark in Modern (and I did 8 subjects including extensions) yet it didn't count in my UAI. But don't worry about it, if you like the subject you will do well in it... it still scales ok.

Apparantly my teacher said it scales pretty well each year...at least it wont drag u down....

i got 81 for bio and 82 for modern and yet bio counted and modern didn't..so obviously bio scales higher than modern lol..

edit: scrap that..modern counted and bio didn't..haha oops
my uai was 87.8

I got 94, I think this year less ppl got band 6. Correct me if I am wrong, but does that mean the scaling will be lower this year?

no, it means its higher. If less people got band 6, then a mark of 88 is worth a higher percentile in 2004 than it was in 2003.

btw Modern was the only hsc subject I did this year (Im in yr 11), so when they calculate my UAI they will use this years scaling, wont they (not next year's)?

I got 96 (HSC) and it didn't end up counting. But that doesn't matter - I did Mod for love.

hey i know im replying late, but i thort mod scaled really well? also, why were you guys chatting about scaling on christmas? soory i know school is extremely important but dnt u have a life outside it??

Not in hsc year... j/k. I think most of us are just bored so we post on here...As for how 96 in modern didnt get counted, Ive got no idea, those ppl probably got 100 uai (or close to it)...
