He is a decent signing, but I didn't really count him as I see him as a panic buy. After all, the other Diarra is out for the season so they really had no choice. The signings that I'm referring to are ones they should've made years ago. Actual defenders, they don't just need fullbacks but central defenders as well. Their whole squad is looking pretty thin atm.

Surely you agree that Ramos is a rock though? Absolutely stunning at Euro 2008. I shudder to think what Real would be like without Ramos and Casillas. Shipping plenty of goals thats for sure.

Chelsea is lookin shakier as the tie nears. Think Juventus look stronger in the tie. Just hoping Chelsea gets over its madness

Arsenal dont look like they are gonna beat Roma but still Roma can be very weak at times. Their tie is weird. Still do think Liverpool are the most likely of english teams to go through.

For the Winner: Barcelona/Inter if eng teams crash out. Real Madrid do look strong <after transfers> but cant c them beating liverpool with their current hot form.
ha! how many times have we heard that this season.

a tipster's nightmare is the best way to sum that tie up.

the winner of utd v inter should be well on their way to the final.

liverpool will find it hard against a real madrid squad without injuries.

God yes. The only RB who comes close to Sergio Ramos is Maicon (although I would argue Maicon is having a better season than Sergio Ramos at this point). More specifically I was referring to the central defenders Cannavaro, who IMO is way too slow now and at 35 is pretty much past it, Pepe who is having a shocker of a season (the only decent match I've seen him play was against Villarreal) and the left backs Marcelo and Heinze who are two players who I don't think are the standard of player Real Madrid should be going for. Their other defenders including Torres are pretty inexperienced. The only defensive position Real don't have to worry about is RB with Sergio Ramos and Salgado.

I still think the defence is something that the Real Madrid fans should be worrying about, the central defensive pair get skinned by opposition forwards on a regular basis. The board aren't gonna do anything about that of course. Remember when they sold Makélélé? Ah well, power to us I guess.

yeah, i remember that, but that is bound to happen when they both smash 190cm and in mertesackers case, almost 2 metres.
i've always like his CB partner mertesacker a little better anyway.

AC Milan would have been favourites for the CL this season if they made it
Their attack is brilliant this season
Beckham should sign a permanent contract for his own good

Wat is gonna happen to Arshavin's contract at Arsenal with Aston Villa and other clubs appealing the last minute transfer to arsenal
nothing, i'd think... they're just having a whinge basically...

who else is sick of this arshavin news? the fucking transfer saga was bad enough, and i was so glad when it's over. now we're hearing shit about forms that aren't filled out correctly? fuck off :burn:

Nothing will happen. Even if the documents were found to be processed after the deadline, the blame lies with the Premier League, not Arsenal.
the deadline was extended due to extreme weather, did they pass the original deadline or the revised one, and by how much?
