How cheap is the food on campus at UWS Bankstown? Are there any decent/cheap shops nearby?

and UWS bankstown is smack bang in the middle of an industrial area, so definitely no shops within walking distance

Following foods will neither shave off a year from your life, nor put a dent in your wallet:


Cereal+Milk

Fried Rice, put some peas/corn, egg and stir in some tomato sauce

Egg and cheese sandwich, spread some Home brand mayo on each loaf

Banana is a very good 'instant' portable food

Instant noodles, though I only recommend you put in HALF of the flavour satchet. Also put in an egg and peas/corn in to form a fairly decent meal

I'm a second year student at UWS Bankstown. The cafateria food is pricey, and I only really buy there when I can't be assed to walk down the road and eat at the Bakery (pork/chicken/mixed rolls, nice meat pies), 2 take away shops, a nice take away chinese restaurant, and if you have friends who drive you, or you drive yourself, maccas/kfc/hungry jacks in different directions.

I've been to UWS Campbelltown once (on a weekend for an all day course), and it's located in Macarthur and there's this shopping centre nearby in driving distance where you can go and eat in the food court.

on broadway (i think), walk towards central. it's a bit of a walk though, since it's closer to central than it is to usyd..

There's a bakery just outside the shopping centre, little devil i think its called, that makes an awesome chicken roll for i think $4.

Also near UTS (and close to USyd too)

-Tender Grill (UniLodge Food Court, the block before Broadway S.C)- Hamburger/Chicken burger/Veggie burger with a can of drink, $3.50 + other cheap deals.
