Are there any theoretical physics uni course? If so, what ATAR do I need to get into USYD and UNSW for that?
Thanks

Can't say for UNSW, but USyd doesn't have a course on theoretical physics. The best I can think of is to major in physics within a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on modern physics, then do your honours and postgraduate research in theoretical physics. Getting into a BSc at USyd is about 84.60 right now. Hope that helps.

If you can get into them, then try to get into UMelb and ANU for physics. They're much better at physics than UNSW and USyd, and that shows in the international rankings. I also hear that UMelb only ranks well because it follows the international system and the social life is shit, but maybe you can ignore that if having the 14th best physics department in the world is a good enough prospect.

In short, I'd put it as UMelb = ANU > UNSW > USyd.

pretty sure you do some sort of science degree majoring in physics first then you can do a theoretical physics post graduate degree

I don't really know what are post graduate degrees lol...
But I did find a theoretical phys undergrad course in ANU. I can't seem to find the ATAR requirements tho
Thanks guys for your contributions :)
