UWS, is a disgrace.

This case just ruined the image of UWS even further, when it is already bad enough.

Even if you could drive wouldn't you still have to pay for parking in unis like usyd, unsw...btw, does uts even have a carpark? So I guess what I like most about uws is the free parking!
UTS has a car park on the side of the building, John St ... $10 per day. There's another carpark near the UTS library ...

Free parking at UWS is tops ...

That's cheap for the city ... It's owed privately and not by UTS. $10 is a lot better than parking on the street and paying $2 per hour (depending on how long your at uni for). Parking arrangements at unsw can be found at:

http://www.student.unsw.edu.au/atoz/atoz-Parking.shtml

Some students seem to be made of money, driving around in brand new BMW's, Skylines, done-up civics and lancers ...

Well thats not true, it is highly recongisable for its studies in Social Science, if the media need info on sociological issues, they go to UWS academics.

wat i dont like about sydney is ethnic slums
suburbs tend to be dominated by a certain ethnic group.
i dunno whether people just like living with their own race
or they just refuse to assimulate into australian society
i recon they should spread everyone apart
and have a quota on how many people from certain ethnic groups can live in each suburb
that way you would have a more spread of culture spread out in all suburbs which is truly multiculturalism.
rather than have a large concentration of one ethnic in one area.

all yall social science students should know wat im talkin about..
this could be a long term problem for sydney
its gotta be managed properly

this reminds me of the bulldogs allegations, but its a "allegation" does it mean its true, it could be a hoax for this "sex for marks" scandal...

Our reputation is bad.. and not because of us so go figure. And UWS isn't the one disgraced here, the lecturer and his 'Asian Victim'/s are the ones who should be ashamed of what they did. Does anyone read the uni's policy book anymore?! And UWS has handled the problem well i reckon, there hasnt been much about it in the media and action has been taken by the uni.

Now.. if this was a reputable city uni.. u'd never hear about it unless someone actually went to the media to get it out.. and then they'd be paid for their silence so that the uni could keep its rep. Either that or the victim/s would be made out to be the corrupt one... we've all seen this done before. Hell they even go as far as passing the buck on their own academics. pffft lousy.

i wouldnt mind transfering out of uws.. not because of problems or being unhappy with the uni, rather because UTS and USyd are the only unis beside CSU that have the course i want to do. But as i am out west, its too far.. and im too lazy.
