Hi,
I was wondering what do you guys think on the distribution of uni marks:
I go to Uni of Canberra (UC) where to get a HD you need 85, D 75 etc
whereas as the ANU in Canberra you only need 80 for a HD , 70 for D etc

I am wondering this because when you do postgraduate course, they require your GPA score. If a student for example gets 80 all throughout there course, a person at UC would get a GPA of a D avg (6) whereas ANU would be 7 as they would have a HD avg.

What do the unis in Sydney use? I think this GPA system is unfair.

It's just ANU being the odd one out. They were special because its where the main international jujutsu dojo is.

Well, maybe ANU expects a higher standard, and that an 86 at usyd may only be an 81 at anu...

they are like the top uni in Australia, so the standards might be a little higher

but how does ur employer kno ur GPA?
cos there's no official document with our results on it, its all online. if we were to use a print-out of the info online then ppl can easily adjust their results

well, prospective employers will usually request an offical transcript from us which states all our grades.

In the real world, employers will probably care much more about things such as your personality, rather than whether you got a distinction or a high distinction in year 1 university.

Don't know if it's comparable... but Victoria University is on the same footing as ANU. 80 for an HD.
