Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to still receive an offer if you were like 6 points away eg radiography:94.40 atar required, but I got an atar of 88? I receive 5 bonus points (low socio economic school), would that be put into consideration? Thanks

88 + 5 = 93

The cutoff is 94.40. Meaning that 94.40 is the lowest ATAR that was accepted into the course last year.

93 is lower than 94.40. Meaning that you wouldn't of made last years cutoff.

This year may change. So keep your fingers crossed but don't hold your breath.

This years cut off is 94.40, last year it was 94.50. So they don't make offers to people who get a couple points off?

Also keep in mind people do not accept offers so there may be vacant spots.

This is true, but some universities inflate their ATAR cut-offs to look better or whatever.

I know for my course the cut-off was 98.35 but people with ATAR's in the mid 90's still got in without bonus points.

You don't know the cut-off for this year yet, no one has even sat the HSC. 94.40 would be the cut-off for last year.

This is taken into consideration when they determine the ATAR cut-off. 94.40 would include all those who got in via vacant positions (though it could be inflated as I said).

Also keep in mind that the ATARs required for popular courses are unlikely to change/go down.
