I am just wondering what day do we (HSC 08ers) find out if we got into university and how do we find out (e.g. by internet, newspapers, etc).

First your hsc results are released and sms'd to you if you signed up. The next day UAC releases the UAI and university offers on their website.

Your offer will also be published in the newspaper.

first round offers are made some time in january i think.

18th December: UAIs

6th January: Preliminary Round offers released (UAC website)
21st January: Main Round offers released at 9pm (UAC website)
22nd January: Main Round offers released (Letters to addresses and newspapers, along with cut-offs)
4th February: Late Round offers released at 9pm (UAC website)
5th February: Late Round offers released (Letters to addresses and newspapers)
11th February: Final Round (UAC website only)
