Im hoping to go to the sessions..
1: Making Choices
2: Careers in Education
3: Careers in Psychology (or maybe business and commerce..)
4: Careers in Human Resources
If anyone else is going.. lets have a meetup lol

For anyone went to it last year.. is it worth it?

I'm going to the UNSW careers day also, thankyou to the utopian ideals of my school which believe that perhaps if we see a university we might achieve a mark substantial enough to allow some students a place. i went ot the day voluntarily last year (a big mistake) - it has interesting elements and it is amusing to measure the enormous egos f the lecturers, but apart from that the day offers little insight into what it takes to enter and achieve at a good uni. oh wel... should prove to be a considerable waste of time yet again... such is life... its hellishly funny

The career development day cro_angel is referring to is the one run by GERRIC (Gifted Education Research and Resource Information Centre) which is part of UNSW.
It's aimed, obviously, at people who are gifted because it can be difficult making career choices that take in both one's ability and one's interest. You have to book, there is an application form at their website if anybody wants to look them up and it is $66
I went last year and found the day relatively informative. Careers in Psychology was alright, all of them could have been better but still informative.
