how about trains? the bankstown line is being repaired so i guess thats out of the question too (i.e. cannot be bothered sitting on a sweatf-filled bus for an hour)
and UNSW is in the middle of nowhere!!! how am i supposed to reach it?!?!

Correct me if I am wrong (God forbid), but aren't they closing the city off a couple of days before APEC for Bushie? I haven't really been following the news lately - damn trials.

Yeah I am aware of APEC beginning on the 7th. But dont forget Bush is coming early. Also, when I was on my way home from UTS and USYD open days, after I entered the M5, there was this electronic billboard thing that said APEC road changes commence 1st or 2nd September...
i.e. its going to be chaos the first couple of weeks of september...
its kind of a good thing that HSC is going to keep me grounded hehe, then i dont have to view this chaos first hand.
but i duno
how are you meant to get to UNSW?
i still got no idea how to get there..

It is off the M2. Coming from the western suburbs there is signs, id assume the same from the east.

If you dont want to take the motorway youd need to look it up in the directory.
