here is my practical next week and i know nothing at all
plz help me what should i know
outcomes to be assessed
design and trial a procedure to undertake an investigation

identify and set up the most appropriate equipment needed to undertake the investigation.<O:p</O:p
efficiently undertake the planned procedure to minimise hazards and wastage of resources<O:p</O:p
disspose carefully and safely of any waste materials during an investigation<O:p</O:p
identify and use safe work practices during the investigation
Measure, observe and record results in accessible and recognisable forms, carrying out repeat trials as appropriate.<O:p</O:p
draw appropriate graphs to convey information and relationships clearly and accurately<O:p</O:p
justify inferences and conclusions<O:p</O:p
predict outcomes and general plausible explanations related to the observations<O:p</O:p

Task Outline<O:p</O:p
Perform first-hand investigation to carry out a test including a flame test, to identify two of the following ions<O:p</O:p
-phosphate sulfate carbonate chloride barium calcium lead copper iron
Deduce the ions present in a sample from the result of tests<O:p</O:p
Process and present information to interpret secondary data from AAS measurements

Look it up in the text book?

One method is to dissolve the samples into water to make a solution of ions (of the sample to be tested obviously). This solution is sprayed over a Bunsen flame and you should note the colour of it.

The colour can be indicative of the ion/s present in solution. BLAHHH
