I dont understand how you can use 'I' and 'we' in the same essay, I jsut think its better if you stick to one of them

are you gonna say 'we' and then make a point and thne use 'I' and make a point?
seriously it ruins your argument doesnt it?

here is a very simple example to illustrate:

"We as a society are exposed to the corruption of America as its values of capitalism fail... and I therefore believe that the text responds to a contemporary audience [in this fashion]."

Very easy, along with numerous other opportunities for similar examples.
