Hi everyone,

I was browsing through the cut-offs for late and main round offers on the UAC site. I am both surprised and shocked to find that some late round cut-offs are higher than main round cut-offs (an example is the Macquarie one for Arts/Law). Can someone please explain this to me? I thought that late round offers were late-round and therefore cut-offs must fall below the inital cut-off. Any advice would be appreciated.

i am sure someone is going to explain it better than what i am going to do but i will give it a shot

the reason late round offers are higher is because there are less places in the course and usually people who got higher uai's then the original cut off apply again after main round offers and they may get accepted

i hope this helps

Late round offers = higher demand, less places, therefore higher uai cutoff.

Macquarie doesn't usually go to any round other than main round, so don't hold your breath with a late offer unless something happens.
