I've been going well in some of my subjects but my Physics teacher doesn't teach jack sh!t and just goes off topic every class. Even if I somehow get 85% for Preliminiary, I'm only going to JUST scrap past 50%... does this mean I have to repeat?

Nope. You only have to repeat if you make a non-serious/non attempt in an assessment task. As long as you've made an effort in every assessment task, they can't hold you back.

Mate, I got 5/40 for my physics exam, 5/20 for Economics, 19/45 for Chemistry. I ask them and they say 'If you don't put in the effort, you're only making it hard for you in year 12'

No, it doesn't. I'm ranked last in physics, second last in chemistry and bottom 10 in Economics. Relax. Year 11 is the last time to party and do whatever.
