I was thinking about using Modest Mouse's "The World at Large" as an additional text, but I don't know song techniques and was wondering if anyone could help.

I think I have most of them for the lyrics just things like tempo, just looking for others...

I'm not doing inner journeys, but I can tell you this much: our teachers loathe lyrics. They always say there isn't enough content and techniques to analyse/explain/etc.
So I'd try to avoid lyrics. But if you're doing a film, then don't pick a film as your supplementary text. If your prescribed text is a poem, don't do another poem. Etc etc.

The Prescribed text is Yolngu Boy (film), then we have a choice of three different poems.
Which leaves picture book or cartoons (or a novel) for a prescribed text. The teacher suggested artworks could be interesting, but I think The world at Large by Modest Mouse fits really nicely.

Do you have any ideas?
