First off, I don't know if this is the right forum for this but this was the closest link i could find..

im having trouble with this particular topic (utilitarian individualism), i was just wondering if anyone could please explain what this notion is about in layman's term?

the other articles i've read about it areis just to comprehend.. in particular I don't understand why it is a form of individualism..

i hope that makes sense. thanks if anyone can be bothered..

You won't find many politicians who would say they weren't utilitarian, and that includes the individualists.

EDIT: Utilitarian individualism would be the belief that the greatest good for the general population can be acheived when you maximise each person's choice as to how they conduct their lives.
