UTS Flexible 1st year engineering? (1 Viewer)

I have a tough decision coming up, as I did not get the ATAR i wanted (79.3), and was hoping to get into a civil course at UTS (87-88), even with the bonus points its only 84.3. As a result, I will either have to accept my WSU civil eng offer by the 22nd, or pray for an offer from UTS. However there is also a Flexible first year course, which would allow me to go to UTS engineering, however a few questions:

Is this degree going to be recognised as a degree in civil engineering?
Can i transfer to civil engineering?
How similar can this course be to the actual civil engineering course?

Can just choose that for now and transfer to a specialised field like civil later

Ye can transfer from any course to any course providing your weighted avg mark is good first year. For eg can transfer from arts or music to civil engo lol
