Hello guys, my name is James Wang and I am offering tutoring service for Mathematics.
A little bit more about myself and my teaching style:
I have over 17 years of tutoring experience and I provide structured teaching lessons to get you through any mathematics course. I am also a full time risk manager in the banking industry, but I am enthusiastic in teaching and do tutoring as a part-time job as well. As proven many times in the past 17 years, I make a fundamental difference to the learning using my teaching philosophy and I enjoy the reward in seeing the success of my past students.
If you are looking for someone who are able to answer any questions you throw at them, or if you are also looking for someone to systematically help you revise concepts for exam preparation, I am the right tutor for you. I can break down all challenging questions and relate them to the topics and concepts that you should know, pass on approaches to you so you will be the next person who can do the next question no matter how hard it is. I can also teach you exam time management tactics, and train you on them to be ready to score 100% and be the first in your class, your cohort or the state.
I detest the traditional methods of how mathematics is taught, generally students were just told to memorise and apply the mathematical formulas to a set of repetitive questions. I stand out in my teaching style in that I am more of a guide than a teacher, I do not spoon feed answers and formulas to students, instead I find that they will learn a lot more once they become an independent and active learner, so I train them through interactive probing and teaching so they can attain the skills to tackle questions on their own, and is able to ultimately solve even the most challenging questions in the HSC.
