4b) The area enclosed by the curves y=1/x2, y=1/x and x=1/10 is rotated about the y-axis. Use cylindrical shells.

I can't find the part enclosed by the curves....:rolleyes:
Thnx.

V={2.∏.x.(y2-y1).dx

{=intergrate...between x=1/10 and x=1

V=2∏{x(1/x-1/x2)dx
V=2∏{1-1/x .dx
V=2∏[x-ln(x)]... 1/10<x<1
...skip a few lines of working...
=2∏(9/10 - ln(10)) u cubed

but for da cylindrical shels method...its 2∏xy.dx
for slices method it would have been squared

ya?
