how do you know what your enterprise agreement is, especially if you're applyinf for jobs and haven't got there yet?

I didn't search the site for those wages, I was reading the latest SDA magazine

if you go to www.sda.org.au and click on awards, it has a pretty comprehensive list of the major retail industry agreements. you can find the wages in those, although sometimes you'll have to work out what the casual rate is (normally they're quoted as full-time rates per week).

Do the following
1) Go to http://www.wagenet.gov.au

2) In Option 3 type in Woolworths, tick the agreements box too, and then click go.

3) Go to 3rd results page

4) On the third page find this one "Woolworths Supermarkets - Nsw/Act Agreement 2001" and left click on it.

now try and see if you can find the coles, franklins and maccas ones

i understand now, you have to look at the weekly pay for a full time position
then you have to divide it by the amount of hours they say it applies for
then you have to multiply it by a certain percentage to get the casual pay


interesting to compare current coles myer wages:

Franklins was bought out by Action here, but that is just bull. There is no way I get paid that much now that I'm 18. I don't even make $10/hour let alone $11!

But at my other place of work I get $12-13, so I'm cool.

I think I mucked up that Franklins one with:

20 - $15.6221
21 & Over - $14.4658
^ I think this should be $17.4658

In relation to your other comment, yes, Action is a completely different company, But if you're 18 and your saying you get less than $10 an hour than that's outrages.
The last time I was on as little as $10 an hour was over 3 years ago when i was 16. Incredible.

i work for nrgize juice bars and i'm 19 and get 12.73 per hour (CASUAL).. well that's what i was told..does it sound reasonable?

i work in a cafe/takeaway and get paid $12.35 for a 19 year old, im not even sure if thats legal i would get paid more for working at maccas. my boss tried not to put my rate of pay up when i turned 19 as well and told me that it stayed the same..

as i said, i get $12.35 p/h. When i turned 19, it didnt go up, so i said to him, isnt the rate meant to go up since i am 19? and he said no, it stays the same after you turn 18. so i got my mum to ring up and abuse him

I just worked out that my Coles wage is $10.49 I think, for a 17 y/o casual. I'll let you know for sure when I see my payslip cause I think overall I'm missing about $3 in various fees.
