hello all,
i am making a website incorporating flash for this coming year and was wondering if any past HSC student could possibly put up their finished websites.

i'm hoping that i canhave something to compare my design scheme to and the quality of websites that will be needed.

You could try looking at some of the multimedia works that got into previous year's showcase. They should be a good indication of "what's required". Your school should have a copy?

Hey, I'm using Flash too. I was wondering - are you using it as part of the whole of the site? Or simply as the opening splash page?

Hello! Are you in year 12 this year? I finished last year. I sort of used flash for the whole thing, but then i didn't use it in the same way as most ppl that create flash sites. Mine was much less animated and techy, if that makes sense. How are you going with yours? What are you doing?

lol...yea I realized the thread was rather old - but decided to revive it anyway.

Yep - yr 12 this year. I'm doing a series of critical responses and presenting it on a website - hence the Flash. Since the critical responses will have so much text - I'm probably just going to use Flash for the opening splash page...and then regular CSS and HTML for the rest of the site. I've actually never used Flash before - and I just got the program a few days ago - been during the Lessons and Flash doesn't seem that hard to use...lol...I'll probably regret saying that.

What was your site on?

hey i am also in yr 12 doing a website with flash, it is really hard cause i see all these amazing webapages that pros have made and expect mine to look like theirs. i would also love to see some past ones thanks

dun worry - they don't mark on your webmaking tech skills...just how the site (the form) suits your purpose and how it enhances your content. I've seen some past ones - that were not very graphical or visually outstanding but they're in Writers Showcase. Gd luck!

I'm basically trying to finish writing and putting my site together...so 1/3 finished!

i have seen the 2003 one in the showcase, it isn't very good at all. well ok the layout isn't the writing could be fantastic for all i know. i have done my 1st draft of the writing and now doing the webpage, then giving myself time to fix the writing later.
