they are held on:
wednesday: 10.15 - surnames A to F
wednesday: 2pm - surnames G- Q
thursday: 10.15 - surnames R to Z.

oh and to anyone who has been, is it important to go? i haven't enrolled yet cuz i gotta get transcripts from usyd, which means i will have to go from usyd to macq tomorrow to enrol and attend the session.

Yeah you should go, but i didn't think it worth waking up early, getting ready, getting on a bus, train etc.

yeah this is just a welcome session. pages 4 and 5 in the booklet. and its tomorrow and thursday! i don't think they will be fussy about the designated times... oh and there is an evening session for those who can't make it during the day. thursday 6.15pm.

it will be a bitch going to usyd by public transport, waiting in line for a transcript, then getting to macq by 2pm. i'm just as lazy as you!!

Yeah you can, they just want to control the number of people flowing through each of the sessions. It's not like they will check or anything though.

cuz i'll go if you meet people in your degree considering i might be leaving my usyd friends behind and be nigelated at macq!!

ahhh now i don't know what to do. whether to go with my friends or go by myself. damn. i suppose it will be easier to meet people if i am alone, because with friends we tend to just talk to each other. but maybe not.

I don't think there are any set meeting activities for people in your own degree. But i'm not completely sure.

went to maq today, spent like 10min there, saw the choir outside maq theatre preparing.... *ran*

stupid thing is, it takes 25min for me to drive there, so a 50min round trip... lol

Just got back from the morning session. It was in the Macq Theatre, and it was quite full. I found it to be quite helpful, the ppl explain how to fill in your units and other general stuff like that. The session went for 90 mins approx, (incl. singing), pretty long. Went in at abt 10:10, got out 11:45. Overall I would reccomend other ppl to go.

Yeah there was a choir as well, made up of Maq staff, sang a couple of 'songs'.

I also happened to sit in between 2 other eBiz ppl, both of them wanted to 2 transfer to other courses, like me!

Btw, they don't actually check your surname in case u were wondering. I fink it was more of a number control thing.
