I asked my phys teacher and he kept on rambling on about its uses and crap and not getting to the point :mad1:

hahha... same as my uni lecture whenhe was giving an electrical engineering lecture... i asked him wat is a transitor he's like.. err eerrr.. haha..

It is bascially a semiconductor of one type (say P) sandwiched between two semiconductor of the other type (say N).. Transistor allows the use of small current from one circuit to control a large current in another circuit. Effectively act as switch or amplifier.

yes... in 1 of the pts , you need to talk about how transistors replaced triodes in performing those functions
