i am reading the lord of the rings-return of the king by jrr tolkien
-can't wait for the movie! (woo hoo i just made 50 posts-how fast!)

im reading robert jordan too, the great hunt. but thats the second of nine. sometimes a series can go a little to far i think.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov and A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce. It's not as good as Ulysses so far, doesn't have the same liveliness. But good all the same.

Yes - Crime and Punishment as well. Right after he committed the crime. Also in Novel with Cocaine, On the Road, The Bell Jar and Ulysses.

I hate Potter, and i find it so hard getting a good read.

really, woah, you're like the first person ever to like the beach as well.. i think alex garland is such an good writer, 'the beach' was so well and passionately written that i wanted to go travelling in thailand after i read the book

and the character relationships are really interesting in it too..cept yeah, freakin leonardo dicaprio ruined it, bastard!

Seems to be quite good so far, except that Grant has chosen to translate the military terms. It just affects the 'feel' reading of Tacitius describing brigades and battallions and so-on..
